History of the Royal Suites, La Pirogue
The sumptuous Mauritian 4 Star hotel, La Pirogue, presents visitors with the opportunity to enjoy the luxurious surroundings of two stunning suites suitably named ’Flamboyant’ and ’Bougainvillea’. The suites were inaugurated by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philip and Prince Edward for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards’ 5th International Association held at La Pirogue in October 1994. The Mauritian-style bungalows were renovated in 2003 with particular attention paid to the design of the public spaces, incorporating the creation of a magnificent swimming pool.
